1. Take complete rest for the first 36 hours of your arrival at Leh. However, this period may vary with different people.
2. Your body should get used to the lower oxygen levels.

Photograhing of People:

Plastic Bags:
Do not use plastic bag since plastic is officially banned in Ladakh. Always separate and properly dispose off litter burns burnable, bury biodegradable materials while trekking.
National Parks:
Don't disturb wild life during the trek; be aware of the highly sensitive ecology and the economy of the geographical and cultural landscape. These traveling to Leh by road must be prepared for landslides/road blocks and must provide a couple of days extra as margins. Indian tourists must understand that air line staff always accords priority of 'check-in' in flights to foreign nationals and Indian tourists must reach Leh airport at least 3 hours before schedule departure time of flight. 24 hours of complete rest in Leh should be strictly followed to avoid any altitude related problems.

Leh Agriculture co-operative society in Leh (located in main market on Chagspa village road) recycles water bottles and sells these drinking water bottles at Rs 8 each. Tourists are advised to use this water to preserve ecological balance and to reduce merace of plastic garbage.
A cotton scarf is often found useful while trekking in Ladakh.
A 'Polarisor' filter for photographers is a must.
